Travel to Krasnodar airport will be possible with e-visa

Krasnodar International Airport was included in the list of border checkpoints through which foreign tourists will be able to enter using an electronic visa. The corresponding directive was approved by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation on October 23, 2020.
A unified electronic visa will be valid throughout the territory of the Russian Federation, and the period of stay of tourists will increase from 8 to 16 days. The border can be crossed at any point on the territory of the Russian Federation, including Krasnodar, and travel within the country will be without restrictions.
E-visas will be issued via the Internet for tourist, business, humanitarian, and guest visits to Krasnodar. To obtain an e-visa, no additional documents confirming the purpose of the trip to Russia will be required, i.e. invitations, hotel reservations ,etc. The period for processing a unified e-visa should not exceed 4 calendar days. The consular fee is US$40 (free for children aged under six).
The pilot e-visa project was launched in 2017 and had several restrictions, including the number of permitted border checkpoints.
Just to remind, the new rules for entering Russia come into force at Krasnodar International Airport from January 2021.
